I can't believe it's been 2 years since we had our little Dean. And little he still is, but a big boy he wishes to be. Dean so easily laughs and has fun, loves to cuddle and is starting to talk up a storm. Sleeps through the night great, loves apple juice, and is a wonderful part of our family. We love his personality and all he brings. We are having so much fun watching him grow and discovery the world around him and his place in it.
Each family has their own Birthday traditions. Growing up my mom would get up early and put up streamers and balloons. My brother's birthday was only 1 week before mine but she would change them out for some colors I liked. You always knew it was your birthday and it was exciting. We really don't have the ceilings for streamers so I wanted to do a Birthday Banner. I finished it the night before and am so happy the way it came out. I might do a tutorial later for those who would like one for their family. So now, each time we have a Birthday, the Birthday Banner will come out.
This Picture is so funny, if you notice Evan. He knew what we had gotten Dean, and was almost more excited to see it all unwrapped.
The Birthday Cake! I used King Arthur Chocolate Cake, and a swiss buttercream. It was all a success and has been enjoyed the last few days.
The big get together was on Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa Barclay and the gang. We then had a little cake on his Birthday. He did love blowing out the candles.
