Happy 1st Birthday Dean

Wow I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by, and here we are at the end of August celebrating Dean's first Birthday. How lucky we are to have this little guy, he adds so much joy to our family. His personality is really coming through. He loves playing with balls, and crawling around the house. I'm sure he'll start walking any day. He likes to eat, which is good because we need to add 3 more pounds before he can be in a front facing car seat. Dean loves Evan and most of the time Evan loves him. They laugh and play together, we just have to remind Evan that Dean is still little and he can't be so rough.

Fire Station

For Church Krista Lay and I do activity days for the 10-11 year old girls. We thought it would be fun to visit the local fire station. Oh what fun we had.!!! Thanks Eagle Mountain Fire Station #2. I have a special place in my hear for Firemen, my grandpa as one back in the day.

Summer of Food

Do you ever get sick of the same old thing, or find your self with too much zucchini. Yes this has been the summer of food, or rather new recipes and ideas. Testers: my family Results: Mixed. If you want any of the recipes let me know and I'll post them. It's been fun trying new things.

Zucchini Pie (Jon was surprised that this was good and said I could make it again)

Proof that Evan is eating Veggies

Smile Dean.

So I tried the Turkey Avocado Sandwich at the local sub shop, and fell in LOVE. So I tried to duplicate it. Cibatta Bread (Homemade) Avocado, Spinach, Turkey, Pepper Jack Cheese, and and seasoned Mayo, and the new favorite thing Roasted Peppers, Love Love Love them.

Zucchini Lasagna (Doesn't look that appetizing, but trust me, it was dang good)

Enchiladas Verde (Cooks Illustrated recipe, way good and not to bad for you)

Newlywed Quilt

I finally finished the quilt for Scott and Anna. It's much over due since they got married in June. I had everything done except for the binding and for some reason I just didn't want to do it, but it wasn't that bad and didn't take me too long.

Hope they enjoy snuggling under the quilt for a while.
